Wiltshire plays

PVADS audiences will be treated to a great night of entertainment on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th March at the Bouverie Hall from 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale on line from 1st March priced at £8 (£7 concession). Bouverie Hall box office opens Monday 18th March (Tel 810436)

A unique trio of plays will be performed by both the PVADS Youth Theatre and a team of experienced PVADS adult actors. Each play introduces reflections on local issues. See below for a full synopsis.

PVADS are always looking to offer opportunities to budding talent, and uniquely, each play is directed by a new director!

White Gold: covers exciting up to date discoveries at Blick Mead, a Mesolithic settlement which predates Stonehenge by some 5000 years. Anna Gent (who is a young, very talented actor, starring in both youth plays and pantomime) is directing an enthusiastic team of young actors in White Gold written by award winning playwright Nettie Baskcomb Brown.

Five go Mad in Wiltshire: a comedy following familiar Famous Five characters who have an inevitable adventure whilst camping (in style) near Stonehenge. Usually seen behind the scenes, Rob Bottoms and James Keepence, are directing for the first time.

Evergreen: a moving play which covers implications on the local community and the environment when council cuts take effect. A relative new member, Nick Craddock (who has appeared in Dad’s Army, The Accident and pantomime) has both written and directs Evergreen.
