Dick Whittington

Hello everybody,

After the recent success of Simply Theatre 6, rehearsals have started for this year’s pantomime: Dick Whittington!

‘Dick Whittington and His Cat’ is the name of the English folklore surrounding the real-life Richard Whittington, wealthy merchant and later Lord Mayor of London. It is a story of how he supposedly escaped his poverty-stricken childhood and made his fortune in London thanks to the ratting abilities of his cat.

The pantomime version is full of bad puns, cheesy jokes and laugh-out-loud visual comedy that’s fun for the whole family!
